The main cities of Molise
Capital of the second province is the town of Isernia although in terms of population, it's behind the seaside town of Termoli which is certainly the most popular town in the region for tourism. The only other town in Molise with a population of over 10,000 is Venafro on the regional borders with Campania and Lazio.
The most important of the major cities and towns of Molise is the regional capital: Campobasso. Its population of just under 50,000 makes it the most populous city in Molise. Campobasso is also the capital of the Campobasso Province, one of just two in Molise.
